A blend of BBC library cues

Every funk lover worth their salt is aware of the countless riches to be found amongst British music library catalogues of cues, that is music purposely made by a relatively small band of musicians-cum-arrangers-cum-producers for KPM and other companies. The Quietus published a nice piece on it and breaks diggers will be glad or alternatively heart-broken to have read this from earlier this year about the digitisation of the entire KPM catalogue.

All of this is a preamble to my picking up a BBC-issued compilation of theme tunes to now mostly forgotten television programmes and then re-editing several tracks on the fly into a 18-minute blend.

Equipment used: Technics SL 1200 turntable; Gemini PS 676 pro 2 mixer, Korg KAOS Quad Pad.
